OVERVIEW

Olympic CO-OP programs are built on a foundation of trust and empathy, while driving innovation and new ideas in a collaborative way. The network is set-up to help sport leaders meaningfully ‘talk shop’ among peers who are less invested in each others’ day-to-day realities, but are fully invested in an overall shared goal. It connects those who truly understand the nature of high-performance sport. Once you complete the program, you may enrol in the same group or a new one. You control the pace. You control how you want to learn.

WHO ARE MY PEERS?

Each program exclusively targets those involved in summer and winter sports looking to be Games-ready under the Olympic, Pan Am and Youth Olympic umbrella. This includes National Sport Federation chief executive officers, executive directors and emerging leaders. High performance directors, team leaders, managers and national team coaches are very much part of this targeted network. The CO-OP also extends to integrated support team leads, mental performance consultants, and mission team members building their capabilities to be at their best in the Games environment. This is to say the essence of our programs are indeed co-operative. If you share in the pursuit of achieving the highest-possible mindset to help Canada’s athletes achieve performance goals, you are welcome.

CUSTOMIZED PROGRAMS

The proven success of co-operative networks like this show us that to effectively learn in this environment, the origin of the content must come from each individual. By sharing and developing it, we improve. It is this thinking that drives the Olympic CO-OP and allows for each member to set the tone for their own success. This flexibility in topic and content direction is what ensures the co-operative remains precisely focused on the needs of its members.

OPEN DROP-IN PROGRAM

The Open Drop-In session program is simply that: A schedule that allows maximum flexibility for members who like to benefit from seeing new faces and developing new ideas and discussion with every successive session. They are very much topic-driven. Sessions can range from topics like working with millenials more effectively or strengthening one’s ability to handle conflict or how to communicate specific needs. Each month, a new block of sessions will be made available on a first-come-first-serve basis for up to six CO-OP members per session. Each session will be led by a professional coach facilitator and will require no advance preparation. In fact, the group will determine its own topic and objective in real-time. Sport leaders are encouraged to join in and learn how to listen more attentively; how to ask powerful questions and walk away with new ideas and insights.

DESIGN YOUR OWN PROGRAM

This custom-tailored structure is for people who want to connect with a dedicated group of peers across different sports, roles or within intact teams on a similar journey. It’s an opportunity to work with a private and trusted support team. We will propose a recommended peer-group of two-to-six peers based on the information you provide around specific challenges, problems or ideas you would like to explore. Once established, this group will collaborate and design specific program content and meetings to fit its needs. Not only will you have each other for support, but you will also have your own professional leadership coach to help you every step of the way.
