The Team Canada Champion Chats Program is a joint initiative between the Canadian Olympic Committee, Canadian Paralympic Committee, and Classroom Champions that connects students and youth across Canada with Team Canada’s Olympic and Paralympic Athletes. As a part of this program, we have launched Team Canada Champion Chats Weekly Live Chats, which are taking place every Friday for the foreseeable future. On these short and interactive chats, Olympians and Paralympians will take Canadians through some of the movements they are doing at home to stay active, as well as answer questions from the audience.
The ultimate goal is to connect you with Canadians coast to coast – from the big cities to the most remote communities – to get everyone moving. For an example of our very first Weekly Live Chat, check out Komak’s Facebook Page here.
We would love to feature as many Olympians as possible during the next few weeks. In exchange for your participation, we will be offering an honorarium of $150.
In order to participate, you must be available for the following:
- A technical test and platform walk through the week before the chat (approximately 10-30 minutes depending on technical difficulties)
- Must be logged on 30 minutes before the chat to test connection and debrief
- 20-30 minute participation in the live stream
