Biography
I’m an Olympian and former World and Grand Prix medalist in figure skating, but more than that, I’m someone who has dedicated my life to understanding and elevating the power of sport. Sport shaped me, it challenged me, inspired me, and taught me how to lead with integrity, empathy, and resilience. Today, I work to pass that forward. I coach, serve on the Board of Directors of my NSO, and work in sport software to help create systems that better support athletes. I’m a certified executive coach, mentoring youth and professionals, and I proudly serve as an ambassador for Right to Play. My academic path from biomedical sciences to a master’s in innovation and entrepreneurship, to professional executive coaching has been rooted in one goal, to help people and systems grow. Whether on the ice or off, I’ve seen how sport can open doors, build connection, and empower individuals to create meaningful change. That belief continues to drive everything I do.
Why do I want to be a member of the OLY Canada Commission?
Because I believe athletes have the potential to create profound impact, not just in sport, but across the world. Olympians are more than competitors, we are storytellers, leaders, and changemakers. Through our experiences, we gain a perspective that can influence everything from education to health, innovation to social justice. I want to help ensure that athletes recognize their ability to lead change not only after they retire, but throughout their careers. Sport is a universal language with the power to unite people, spark hope, and drive transformation. When we support Olympians to step into that role fully confident, respected, and equipped we multiply the reach of sport’s positive impact across borders, generations, and sectors. Being part of the OLY Canada Commission means helping build a platform where athletes can realize and activate that potential. It’s a chance to amplify the values of the Olympic movement and ensure that sport continues to be a global force for good.
