Biography
I have been active with international sailing from 1972 through to 2014. In my non-Olympic campaign and qualifying campaign years after 1996, I committed to serve the sport through Sailing Canada and represented Sail Canada at the COC. My professional background in media—both legacy print and online—has given me solid financial and marketing expertise, while continuing to nurture and grow my international network.
Why do I want to be a member of the OLY Canada Commission?
Extending the voice, context, and experience of a legacy Olympian interests me greatly, as this can be a lever for further success in the future. Mentorship is something I strongly believe in, and giving back is in my DNA. Too much expertise and knowledge is lost, so being able to network, connect, and bring together former Olympians is a great opportunity to give back.
