Invitation: 2024 Pride Celebrations
The Canadian Olympic Committee and Canadian Paralympic Committee would like to formally invite you to join us as we celebrate Pride 2024.
This summer, the COC and CPC in collaboration with You Can Play (YCP) will be marching in Pride Parades across the country. We will be joined by COC and CPC team members, sport organizations, and athletes who are dedicated to fighting homophobia and transphobia in sport at all levels. As a leader in your sport, we hope you will be able to join us as we show our pride.

Team Canada FanFest
In celebration of Team Canada and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the COC is planning a series of fun, welcoming family friendly events to celebrate Team Canada IN Canada during the games. FanFest will occur over 3 weekends in 3 cities across Canada. The goal for the Team Canada Fanfest is to bring fans together to cheer on Team Canada, celebrate sport in Canada around the games, and to create opportunities for connection with local communities through sport.
The details for the events are as follows:
Calgary – July 26-28 @ Stephen Avenue Walk (8th Ave + Centre St S)
Toronto – August 2-5 @ Shops at Don Mills (Don Mills Rd + Lawrence Ave E)
Montreal – August 9-11 @ Gare Windsor Plaza (1160 Rue De la Gauchetière O)

Team Canada x lululemon Pep Rally
The countdown is on. There’s less than 50 days until Team Canada takes the world stage at the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. On Thursday, July 11 join Team Canada and lululemon as they rally the Toronto community for a day filled with movement, celebration and excitement for our Team Canada athletes.
At the Team Canada x lululemon Pep Rally, fans will get the chance to try a variety of Olympic and Paralympic Sports, sweat with lululemon Ambassadors and enjoy live performances into the evening highlighting the diversity of Canada including Jully Black, AR Paisley, DVSN and more!

Webinar with You Can Play: Empower Athletes, Embrace Diversity: Championing 2SLGBTQ+ Inclusion in Sports
Join us for a You Can Play session that explores themes related to advocacy and support for the 2SLGBTQ+ community within sports aiming to empower athletes, and allies with the knowledge and tools needed to create an inclusive and equitable environment. It highlights the role of these parades in celebrating diversity, promoting visibility, and advocating for the rights of the 2SLGBTQ+ community.
This session also examines how athletes can leverage their unique and influential platforms to champion social causes, particularly 2SLGBTQ+ rights. It includes strategies for raising awareness, addressing discrimination, and promoting positive change within and beyond the sports community. It explores the concept of allyship, stressing the crucial role of allies in supporting the 2SLGBTQ+ community.

Sport Betting and Competition Manipulation Resources
- CCES has developed a 15-minute course to increase our understanding of competition manipulation and how to prevent it. You can learn more about that here.
- The IOC also has multiple resources available to support athletes, these include:
- Manipulation of Competitions information and homepage.
- Code of Conduct – The IOC has recently launched the updated version of the Code of Conduct in line with the Make the Right Decision-campaign which is now available in 21 languages. You are welcome to download it at this link.
- Communication Campaign: The “Make the Right Decision”-campaign has been launched across Athlete365 social channels and recources can be accessed here: Make the Right Decision campaign toolkit – Athlete365 (olympics.com).
- E-Learning Module: The online learning module on Preventing Competition Manipulation is available on the Athlete365 website. We invite you to complete the 15 min module.

Lululemon Sweat Collective Information
For your reference, the following changes will be made to the program as of August 31, 2024.
- All current athletes and coaches will continue to be eligible for the program.
- If a current member, you will receive a notification in two years (Aug 31st 2024) asking to verify and re-apply. If you are still an active athlete or coach at that time, you should be verified quickly and remain eligible.
- Alumni no longer qualify for the program either.
- Any alumni that are currently within the program will be grandfathered in until the end of August 31, 2024, but will no longer qualify after that time and will be removed from the program.
- If you are now a coach, still play at a national level but not on the Olympic/paralympic team, etc. then you may still qualify under a different category but the category of “Olympic/Paralympic alumni” is no longer a subset within the system.
- Any challenges with eligibility or status of sweat collective.
