Back to School Season
Team Canada athletes have always been incredible role models for youth across Canada. The journey to becoming an elite athlete is a long and tireless one; it requires hard work, determination, resilience, and a lot of heart. It is filled with wins, losses, heartbreak, celebrations, and years of effort. Along the way, you learn how to handle these situations, and how to overcome setbacks in order to meet your final goal: The Olympic Games.
During these uncertain times, sharing your experiences with children across Canada can provide them with the inspiration, connection and strength they need. Your messages of resiliency, perseverance and determination can bring together the nation.
In honour of the Back to School Season, we wanted to share with you a collection of opportunities to get involved with the community and students across Canada:
Participate in Olympic Education Projects
Captivate students across Canada through various programs created by the Canadian Olympic Committee including physical education videos, live chats and storytelling through resources and featured articles.
If you would like to join our team in delivering programs that encourage students to challenge themselves, to pursue their dreams, and to enjoy the journey of every adventure, please send an email to Lisa Muzzo, Olympic Education Specialist, at lmuzzo@olympic.ca.
* Note – Honorariums are provided for participation when possible.

Olympians Supporting Olympians
To show our support and encouragement of our Team Canada Olympic athletes who made the brave decision to prioritize the health of the country and withdraw from the Tokyo 2020 Games, the Canadian Olympic Foundation in partnership with the founding Flag Bearers, Rosie MacLennan, Hayley Wickenheiser and Charmaine Crooks, have launched an alumni campaign to fund direct, needs-based financial bursaries for athletes affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. This is chance for Olympians to come together and continue their legacy, through meaningful support for our current and future Team Canada athletes. We are delighted that 100% of the donations through this initiative will be granted directly to athletes.
Be sure to check your inboxes for an email received on September 29th from Rosie, or read more here. To make a donation today, go to our official donation page.
