OLY

As Team Canada Olympians, we all have different stories, different journeys. The potential in our legacies, though, is very much the same. In fact, we are the only permanent members of the Olympic Movement in our country and around the globe. With this comes the opportunity to create positive change. It is an inspiring mission to share and an important responsibility to uphold.

The OLY CANADA LEGACY GRANT can help you do just that.

If you are retired from Olympic participation as an athlete and are leading a project in your community, or even just thinking about a new initiative – no matter how big or small – this grant program was created for you. To help support this work, the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) is excited to introduce the OLY CANADA LEGACY GRANT: A pilot project consisting of individual grants worth $5,000 each, awarded to five (5) successful candidates.

    To whom it may Concern,

My name is Iraj Narimani and I am from Iran. I have a daughter (Nasim Narimani; date of birth: 4th May 2004 in Karaj ,Iran) who is working professionally Taekwondo for 5years and she is great in Taekwondo according to the coach, talent finders and experts. She won the gold medal in Beirut (capital of Lebanon) champion which was hold in 2018 (attached file). Also she won the gold medal in Asian Champion (Taiwan) which was hold in 2018 (attached file). It should be mentioned that she is trying to attend in 2024 Olympic. Regarding to the conditions in Iran (i.e. gender discrimination and forced veil) it is not possible to achieve her goals. Also, based on our country rules she is not allowed to do exercise with boys at the same place and there are an unlimited number of limitations here to progress for girls and women. So, my girls and I are interested to immigrate to Canada, a country which my girl is able to continue his exercise and participate in different international Taekwondo champion under the flag of Canada. To arrive to the Canada we need your help and guidance. Please help us if you know that who we should contact with in Canada and the right organization which is able to help us. I promise that my girl is one of the Championship chance in 2024 Olympic
